La Porte County Animal Shelter has adjusted their daily operations to ensure the health and safety of the shelter’s staff. The shelter is closed temporarily to public visitation. Staff will continue regular work hours to provide care for the animals, and will continue assisting La Porte County residents with animal-related issues. You may contact the shelter at 219.326.1637 for any animal-related issues during regular hours: Monday, Thursday & Friday,10 am – 4 pm; and Tuesday & Wednesday, 10 am – 6 pm.
